The Navarre Chamber of Commerce recently awarded their Innovation Award to the Truck & Wheel Group for their efforts in making innovation a differentiating factor for the company. This has resulted in it « consolidating its position as one of the leading companies in logistics and transport ».
The Navarre Chamber of Commerce Award 2012 was presented on 18 December in Pamplona. At this ceremony awards were also given to Mondragon Corporation in recognition of their development and to Planasa, who received the Exporting Award.
During the evening, Javier Taberna, President of the Navarre Chamber, praised the work of the companies, businessmen and women and institutions for their contribution to the Navarre economy. The event was attended by Yolanda Barcina, President of the Government of Navarre, Alberto Catalán, President of the Navarre Parliament, Rafael Irigoyen, President of ANET, the ex-President, Miguel Sanz and the President of CEN, José Antonio Sarría, amongst others.
The Innovation Award was received by Juan Luis Llonis, CEO of the Truck & Wheel Group, who highlighted the ability of Truck & Wheel « to encourage innovation, which helps us to discover opportunities and to be able to compete with highly able companies of international prestige ».
Truck & Wheel has a projects department responsible for researching and implementing new technology. As a result the Group now has advanced tracking systems, « zero error » processes, stock reliability, the elimination of paper in their warehouses (RFID) and above all substantial flexibility to satisfy the needs of each client.
The use of new information technology is one of the company’s differentiating factors. T&W has migrated all its servers to the cloud, which enables it to have all the information about the organisation available in real time, from any place and with any type of device.
T&W undertakes logistics work that is very technically complex for different clients in sectors as diverse and demanding as the automobile, mass market, iron and steel, food, textiles and toys sectors.
