The Logistics Center of BMW Group Spain in Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara), has been awarded the Gold Award for Logistics Excellence and the Best Warehouse of the World Award in 2015, ahead of 40 candidates including Stockton ( California, USA), Jacksonville (Florida, USA), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Volargne (Italy), Moscow (Russia), Mumbai (India) and Foshan (China).
BMW Group annually awards the BMW Group Logistic Awards based on compliance with the most demanding objectives of quality, efficiency and satisfaction of dealers. The trajectory of continuous improvement of the warehouse in Guadalajara, the excellent evolution of its more efficient and efficient logistics processes and its customer orientation have been decisive for its selection as Best World Warehouse in 2015 by the Jury, composed of the General Management of Global Aftersales and Logistics of the BMW Group and the Managers of the 40 Regional Distribution Centers of the Group in the world.
The BMW Spain Group also promotes the continuous improvement of spare part management in its dealer network. In recent years it has been possible to halve stock levels in the network and increase the availability index to 90%, significantly reducing obsolescence and triggering the rotation factor over 11 annual rounds, the largest factor in the world among BMW Group dealers. In the annual survey of Spare Parts Satisfaction PMSS carried out by the Carlisle company to dealers of the main automotive brands worldwide, BMW Group Spain led in 2015 the ranking of General Satisfaction in our country with a result of 96.5% and a participation in the survey of 100% of its authorized dealers and workshops.
Luis Bosch, Logistics Manager of BMW Group Spain and Andrés Establés, Head of Warehouse of Truck & Wheel, received the awards from Niklas Wagner, Vice President of Aftersales and Wolfgang Baumann, General Director of Logistics of Spare Parts of BMW AG. Bosch dedicated the award to logistics providers for their “commitment and dedication to service to BMW Group dealers and customers”.
The Logistics Center of the BMW Group in Cabanillas del Campo From the Logistics Center of Cabanillas del Campo, inaugurated in 2003, the BMW Group manages the supply of spare parts and motorcycles to its network of authorized dealers and workshops in Spain and Portugal. The facilities of 43,000 square meters, have a warehouse with an average stock of 60,000 references of spare parts of the BMW and MINI brands and 800 motorcycles. From the Logistics Center of Cabanillas del Campo, more than 12,000 order lines are delivered daily to 260 delivery points in the Iberian Peninsula and its Islands.
